Laurel Ann Browne Helps her Clients Take Charge of their Own Lives

GEORGETOWN, TX, September 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "My educational background is life experience," says Laurel Ann Browne, integrative holistic counselor. Left to fend for herself at the age of 15, Ms. Browne had always had more of a personal, intuitive approach to life as opposed to one that followed accepted norms. This same instinctiveness now guides her work for Visionary for Creative Change, a counseling center through which she advises people on a range of topics related to alternative health and wellness. This includes nutrition, astrology, numerology, tarot, substance abuse, high-risk youth, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

For the last 35 years, Ms. Browne has established herself as a professional counselor, medical astrologer and columnist, writing articles about ADHD and "Indigo children," a New Age term for young people with uncanny abilities or fiercely independent personalities. She has operated private practices in Colorado and Texas and specialized in youth services for the Colorado Department of Human Services (she is a former drug alcohol counselor, having held CAC III status in the state of Colorado from 1994 to 2000). Additionally, she has extensive experience as a parenting counselor and community outreach coordinator.

A desire to take a holistic approach to helping and guiding others prompted Ms. Browne to become involved in her profession. Through extensive training, she has gained expertise in "intuitive counseling for life's answers" and "the utilization of an alternative approach to finding practical solutions to complications in personal, business, marriage, youth and family life." In her integrative holistic approach to healing and counseling, she applies, among other techniques, mind energetics, hypnotherapy and aura readings.

While at The Summit University, Ms. Browne completed the Teachings of the Ascended Masters and served as a Keeper of the Flame and Disciple. She is a Disciple of the Arcane Esoteric Teaching of Alice Bailey. She has also completed studies and coursework in mysticism, which include a Rosicrucian Fellowship in esoteric mysticism/medical astrology, and surveys of Builders of the Adytum, Inc. and Qabalah at the Temple of Holy Tarot in California. Ms. Browne is certified as a parent educator by The International Network for Children and Families, a certified International Association of Counselors and Therapists hypnotherapist, and a certified addictions counselor III, Additionally, she is certified in past life astrology and as a Kabalah master numerologist on Pythagorean numerology. She is an ordained minister of the Universal Church of the Master.

Ms. Browne is a member of The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse and the International Association of Counselors & Therapists. From 2004 to 2008, she was a board member of Whole Life Network, a community health and awareness magazine.

In order to keep abreast of trends and new developments in her field, Ms. Browne reads the magazines Natural Awakenings, Whole Life Network, Woman's Health and Mountain Astrologer. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, reading, teaching self-help and self-growth classes, and monitoring current health events with cutting-edge technologies. She also makes Native American mandalas, dream-catchers and ceramics as a shaman.
